On November 19, 2022, CityTrees, a nonprofit organization dedicated to planting trees in urban areas, held a tree-planting event in Redwood City to celebrate Arbor Day. The event was a great success, with 29 trees planted by volunteers from the local community.

The trees planted included a variety of species, such as Brisbane Box, Netleaf Oak, Silver Linden, Bay Laurel, and Crepe Myrtles, among others. These species were carefully chosen to thrive in the local climate and provide a range of benefits, including shade, cleaner air, and improved biodiversity.
