Transforming Redwood City: 28 Trees Planted by CityTrees & Rotary Club
Are you looking for a heartwarming story to brighten up your holiday season? Look no further than City Trees and the Rotary Club of Redwood City, who joined forces to plant 28 new trees on December 17, 2022. The project took place on several streets including 7th Ave, Bay Street, and Hoover Road, bringing more greenery to the city’s urban landscape.
The team worked hard to carefully select the tree species for the project. The 28 trees planted were a mix of Cork Oak, Purple Ash, Crepe Myrtle, Chinese Pistache, Coast Live Oak, and other trees. These species were chosen based on their suitability for the local climate and soil conditions, as well as their aesthetic appeal.
The planting event was a great success, with many volunteers turning out to lend a hand. It was an excellent opportunity for the community to come together and make a positive impact on the environment. The new trees will help to improve air quality, reduce urban heat, and enhance the overall beauty of the area.
